I like cookies.
I really love technology, not just with regards to software development, but technology as a whole. I enjoy building computers, taking them apart, changing and upgrading components and everything about it. I would say it's one of my favorite hobbies.
I'm currently really into Mobile Development. I've gained alot of experience in the Android Framework, but I'm working on exploring different frameworks that would allow me to develop for iOS and Android simultaneously, like React Native or Flutter.io
Senior Design - True360
Big Picutre
Our team will develop a full system solution to allow Zoos to live-stream 360 degree videos. It will consist of a Admin Dashboard where Zoos can control and setup all of the cameras and controlls. The entire system will consist of front-end, back-end and embedded design and development.
My Role
My role is mostly on the Back-End side of things. I'm develeoping a secure back-end API for the front end use. It connecting to the database and also act as a middle point of communication between the front end and the embedded side of things, to ensure that communication is secure and authetnicated.
Career Objective
Goals
I actually really enjoy living in Iowa, so I plan on starting out my career somewhere in central Iowa. Ideally, I would love to be working on the Mobile Development industry. I am very open to learning new things, so it's not a deal breaker if I don't end up working on Mobile.
A small close group team to work with would be perfect, I really enjoy that during my Internship at TMC. That would be ideal, there is alot that can be learned from working in small groups. Communication is easier and the ability to quickly help each other is great.
I'm so focused on learning as much as I can in the next few years, but my goal is to achieve a management level type position to further my career after several years. Not necessarily a Project Manager, but at least an opportunity to lead people and help them solve problems.
Work Experience
TMC Internship
I have had an Internship at TMC since August of 2017. We (interns) mostly work a lot Web Development with the ASP.NET MVC 5 Framework. I have learned a lot while working there, I have gained so much experience working with MVC frameworks and really understanding best practices for ORM. It also was my first introduction to Agile development and I love it, it's been great to be able to work as a team, identify problems and solve issues many times on our own. We are given the support & freedom to grow both as an individual and as a team.
